Basic Profile Information That All Dating Sites Will Ask For (Part 2)

The following is a list of information that a reliable Internet dating site includes in their series of questionnaires. This list pertains more to the social background and preferences of the members.

Location: The site wills either ask for this information in their list of questionnaires or they can simply obtain the answer from checking your zip code (although the name of the city may not be accurate). You may not want to give out your actual location for security purposes (especially if you live in a small town.) In this case, you can change the zip code after registering. Giving a different zip code is also an option, although it may create a problem when you use your credit card. Other alternatives include getting a P.O. Box or a mailbox etc. address.

Education: This includes high school, college (community or university), and also gives you options of degree names such as M.D., PhD., BA, etc.

Occupation: Some sites are very general about this question. They give a list of choices so you don't really have much room to explain what you really do. Of course you can always add more information on the essay, if provided.

Income: Most sites show income brackets. One very common and appropriate answer is "I'll tell you later."

Drinking Habits: Yes or no, and how often.

Smoking and/or Drug Habits: Yes or no and how often.

Sexual Orientation: Many sites ask about your opinion or how open-minded you may be in regards to gays, lesbians, and bisexuals.

Getting Into More Specific Information

Many reputable Internet dating sites also offer specific information about their members that reveals their personality.
